This Privacy Policy explains how Danish Khan ("we," "us," "our"), the developer of the Colourify: Fill Colour app for iPhone and iPad (the "App"), handles information. Colourify is a colouring app made for children, and it is built so that no personal information ever leaves your device.
In short, for parents
- We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal information from anyone, including children.
- The App has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party data-collecting code.
- The App works fully offline. It does not send your child's name, drawings, photos or activity to us or to anyone else.
- Buying, restoring purchases, leaving the App, sharing and turning on reminders are all behind a grown-up question (a parental gate).
1. Information We Collect
None. We do not operate any servers for the App and we receive no information from it. We cannot see who uses the App, what they colour, or anything they type into it.
2. Information Stored Only On Your Device
To work, the App keeps the following on your iPhone or iPad. It stays there, under your control, and is never sent to us:
- Colouring progress — the colours filled into each picture, brush strokes, and finished pictures.
- Your own drawings — photos you choose to import (from the camera or your photo library) to turn into colouring pages, and drawings you choose to keep in My Art.
- Optional personalisation — if you choose to answer the optional questions: a first name, a colouring style, favourite subjects and a preferred time of day. These are used only on the device, to show a greeting, title a colouring book and set the reminder time. They are never required, and can be changed or cleared at any time in Settings → Personalise.
- My Art journal — which days pictures were coloured and the badges earned.
- Settings and purchase status — for example sound, dark mode and whether the one-time purchase has been made.
The home-screen widget and, if installed, the App's Messages stickers read this same on-device data. Deleting the App removes all of it.
3. Device Permissions
- Camera — only when you choose to photograph a paper drawing. The photo stays on the device.
- Photos (add only) — only to save a picture or video you choose to save. The App cannot see or read your other photos.
- Photo picker — when you import a photo, iOS shares only the one photo you pick. No permission to your library is granted.
- Notifications — optional daily reminders, created on the device (no server is involved). They can only be turned on by a grown-up, behind the parental gate.
You can change or withdraw any permission at any time in iOS Settings → Colourify.
4. In-App Purchase
The App offers one optional, one-time purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never receive your payment details, name, email or Apple ID — only confirmation, on the device, that the purchase exists. Purchases are protected by a parental gate.
5. Sharing and Links
We do not sell, rent, share or disclose personal information, because we have none. If a grown-up chooses to save or share a picture using the iOS share sheet, it goes only where they choose, and that app or service's own privacy policy applies. Links that leave the App (to this page, our Terms, or the App Store) are behind the parental gate.
6. Advertising and Tracking
The App contains no advertising and no advertising or analytics software. It does not track users across apps or websites, does not use the advertising identifier, and does not build profiles of anyone.
7. Children's Privacy
Colourify is designed for children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, the GDPR and similar laws by collecting no personal information at all. The optional first name is stored only on the device and is never transmitted. If we ever wanted to collect any information from children in the future, we would update this policy first and obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting anything.
Parents and guardians can review or remove everything the App keeps: change or clear the name in Settings → Personalise, delete drawings and kept pictures inside the App, or delete the App to remove all of its data. If you have any concern, contact us at the address below.
8. Backups
If you use iCloud Backup or back up your device to a computer, iOS may include the App's on-device data in that backup. Backups are controlled by you and Apple under Apple's privacy policy; we have no access to them.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or US state laws such as the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your personal information. Because we do not collect or hold any personal information, there is nothing held by us to provide or delete, and all App data can be deleted by you on the device. You may still contact us with any request or question, and we will respond.
10. Security and Retention
Data stays on your device, protected by iOS, until you delete it or delete the App. We keep no copies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. The "Effective Date" above shows the latest version. We will not reduce these protections or begin collecting personal information without updating this page first and, where required, getting consent.
