Common questions

How do I start coloring?

Choose a picture in Gallery, select a numbered color, and tap its matching areas. You can use the Magic brush to uncover areas as you brush. Manual pinch-to-zoom and panning help you reach smaller details. Available tools and styles may depend on Pro or a rewarded unlock.

Where is my saved progress?

Your coloring is saved automatically on this device. Open Colourings to return to started and finished pictures. If progress seems missing, check that you are opening the same picture or saved edition. Avoid deleting the app while investigating: local artwork cannot be recovered by support.

How do I save another edition of a picture?

Open the picture and choose More → Editions. You can make an independent copy of your current coloring or start a blank edition. Give it a name so you can find it in Colourings. Deleting one edition does not delete the other editions or the original coloring.

How do I create and use a custom palette?

Open Settings → Studio → My palettes to create, rename, edit, or delete a palette. In free coloring, open Colours → My palettes to select your saved colors. A numbered picture uses its authored palette while numbers are enabled.

How do I restore Pro?

Use Settings → Purchases → Restore Purchase while signed into the Apple Account that originally bought Colorist Pro. An internet connection may be needed. If Pro is still missing, email support with the error message and app version. Do not send your Apple Account password or payment-card details.

Does buying Pro remove ads?

Yes. Once the purchase is verified, Pro suppresses ads and unlocks the app's Pro content and tools. Some rewarded tool unlocks in the free version last only until the app closes; they are separate from the permanent Pro purchase.

Why is a rewarded ad unavailable?

Ad availability can depend on your connection, region, consent choices, and available advertising inventory. Try again later. You can continue using free features and manual zoom while an ad is unavailable.

How do I change advertising privacy choices?

When required by the consent service, Settings → About → Privacy options lets you revisit your choices. That option and the consent message may vary by region. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I turn reminders on or off?

Use Settings → Notifications → Daily Reminder. Reminders also require permission in iOS Settings → Notifications → Colorist. If a reminder does not appear, check notification permission and Focus settings. The app can still be used with notifications disabled.

Can I import my own drawing?

Open Colourings → Import drawing and choose an image. Clear, dark outlines and an evenly lit page usually give the best result. Imports are processed on your device. The free version has a limit on imported drawings; Pro expands access.

How do I save or share a finished picture?

Use the canvas save/share controls and choose a destination from the system share sheet. If saving to Photos is unavailable, check Colorist's Photos permission in iOS Settings. Exported files remain wherever you save them, even if you later delete the app.

Does Colorist work offline or sync between devices?

Bundled pictures and locally saved coloring can be used offline. Ads, feedback, and purchasing or restoring Pro require a connection. Colorist does not provide its own cloud sync for artwork, editions, or palettes. Apple device backups may include app data depending on your settings.

The app is freezing or closing. What should I do?

Close and reopen Colorist, check for an app update, and ensure your device has available storage. If the problem continues, email the picture name, device model, iOS version, app version, and steps that reproduce it. Avoid deleting the app before exporting artwork you want to keep.

How do I request a refund?

Apple handles App Store payments and refund requests. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to review your purchases and request help from Apple.
